What Data We Collect
Contact form submissions. When you submit an inquiry through the contact form, we receive the information you provide: your name, email address, and the contents of your message. This data is transmitted to and stored by Netlify Forms on our behalf.
Analytics data. When you browse the site, Google Analytics collects anonymized data about your visit: pages viewed, time on site, referral source, device type, and approximate geographic location (country or region level). This data is collected through cookies and does not identify you personally.
How We Use Your Data
Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not use them for marketing, pass them to third parties for commercial purposes, or add you to any mailing list.
Analytics data is used to understand how the site is being used and to improve its content over time. It is never used to identify individual visitors.
Third-Party Services
Netlify processes and stores contact form submissions on servers operated by Netlify, Inc. (United States). Netlify's data processing is governed by their privacy policy, available at netlify.com/privacy.
Google Analytics collects site usage data on behalf of Belize Fishing Charters and processes it on Google's infrastructure. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.
Cookies
This site uses cookies placed by Google Analytics to collect aggregated usage data. The primary cookies set are _ga and _gid, which persist for up to 13 months and 24 hours respectively.
No other first-party or third-party cookies are set by this website. You can disable or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will not affect your ability to use the contact form or access any content on this site.

After one month, contact form submissions are deleted from the Netlify Forms dashboard. We do not archive inquiry data beyond that point.
Your Privacy Rights
European Union residents (GDPR). You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to restrict or object to its processing; and to receive a portable copy of the data we hold about you. The legal basis for processing contact form submissions is legitimate interest (responding to your inquiry). For Google Analytics, the legal basis is consent, which you may withdraw at any time by opting out of cookies.
California residents (CCPA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information to any third party.
